WHO ARE WE?
Combat Edge is a combat sports media company based in Austin, Texas, specializing in photography, videography, and social media content for martial arts schools, gyms, athletes, and events. Founded in 2025, our mission is simple: capture the passion, discipline, and culture that make every gym unique. We work alongside our clients to create authentic visual content that showcases their story, strengthens their brand, and connects with their community.
Combat Edge was founded by Johnny Nguyen, a UTSA graduate with a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and an MBA. With a lifelong background in Ashihara and Kyokushin Karate, along with experience in Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Johnny understands martial arts from the inside out. Combining his combat experience with his photography, videography, and marketing background, he captures the moments that matter and creates content that authentically represents the martial arts community.
